City Investment Manager seek a Contract Cognos Analyst / Developer. You will have a solid background within Cognos development. Design and development experience in relational databases, such as Sybase/DB2 (Required), Design and development experience in Java (Highly desirable), Understanding of asset management / financial trading accounting (Highly desirable). Knowledge of financial securities business, in particular knowledge of trade-booking and accounting practices, is highly desired. You must have strong analytical and communications skills, and must be able to operate independently, interacting daily with business users, peers, and management. The team is responsible for client deliverables such as Review Books, Analytics Reports and Portfolio Accounting Statements. Key projects are principally for the build-out of the new Central Asset Management Reporting Architecture – a significant number of reports have already been upgraded to this market-leading platform and client response has been very positive. Your immediate role as part of the Client Reporting team will be helping to gather specifications, design, code, test, and implement new client deliverables and platform features using Cognos, DB2 and Java. You will partner closely with Business and IT teams to meet these objectives. In the longer term, projects will vary depending on the business priorities.
