1 x Support Analyst (Global1)

Rate: £50K to £60K (Permanent) + Bonus and Benefits
City Based Investment Bank seek Front line Global1 support analyst facing off directly to middle office and operations, and with regular front office work. Knowledge Required: Global One, Perl Scripting, UNIX Shell, SQL. Also beneficial would be Java, TIBCo Middleware. Sitting on the trading floor, as part of a global support team for Equity Finance. Key skills are stakeholder management, problem solving ability, pro-activity and the ability to own issues through to resolution
Daily support work would typically include dealing with user queries, batch and SLA management, management of the core Global One application and working with infrastructure on environment issues Global1 is the heart of a large web of systems in the Prime technology space, so a key part of the role will be dealing with other internal and external technology systems
Small enhancement work to the environment around Global1, working in Unix shell script, Perl and SQL. Java and/or TibCo Middleware knowledge is a plus, but not necessary
You will have the ability to analyse complex scenarios from both a technical and business perspective and deliver solutions • Ability to deliver to deadlines in a environment where multiple competing requirements are a part of the job • Strong ownership ethos, ensuring the queries are resolved through to completion
Skills & Experience Required: • Prior experience of application support ideally in a banking environment. • Strong Equity Finance business knowledge. • Experience of working in a front office environment would be a major plus • Experience of managing stakeholder expectation
