Our client is an international provider of quality management services at commercial and military airfields.
My client is looking to recruit a Quality Manager to join an established project team responsible for developing and implementing a Quality Management System (QMS) at major military airfields in Afghanistan.

Working closely with Contract/Technical Officers and subcontractor QA functions, the candidate will help develop and implement a Quality Management System as well as provide Contract and Quality monitoring and guidance for all airfield operations including:
Airfield Infrastructure, Fire Crash and Rescue Services, Aircraft Cross Servicing, Air Terminal Services, Air Traffic Management, Transportation Services, Equipment and Vehicle Servicing and Control Pass and Identification.
With the objective of identifying opportunities to improve customer service and promote Continuous Improvement, the Quality Manager will report to the onsite Team Lead and directly lead a dedicated multinational, multi-skilled quality management team covering a wide range of utility services in addition to airfield operations.
Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an accomplished Quality Manager with substantial quality management and auditing experience. Ideally part of your career experience will have been gained in military airfield operations and you should have technical expertise/experience in one or more airfield services.
You will have a proven track record in leading a team of Quality Auditors and ISO9001:2000 Lead Quality Auditor training is a mandatory requirement for this role.
You will have experience in working in foreign countries, ideally Middle East/Asia and you should have previous military experience with a UK, US, NATO or Allied Armed Force.
You should be multi-skilled, flexible and a self –motivated team player.
You should possess excellent oral and written skills in English and be able to adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner, work to tight deadlines and pay attention to detail.
Superb inter-personal and organisational skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions.
Finally you should be PC / IT literate and possess a current Drivers Licence.
