City based Investment Bank seek 2 x Contract Network Engineers, A network engineer with a strong Juniper JUNOS background – engineer expertise, no product managers please. We are looking for Cisco delivery side. Engineers need to have designed through to delivered a project. The job requires very strong knowledge of networking technology such as routing, switching, multicast, network security etc. Practical understanding of hardware architecture and design, ideally from hardware manufacturing background. CCIE level candidate with real life, practical field experience. The ability to liaise with vendors and internal departments. You will be working within the Network area, responsible for evaluating and developing global network platform and software standards. Testing and evaluating vendor platforms and methodologies to assist in the creation of stable, scalable and industry leading solutions that drive business performance and growth
You will Assisting in the definition of network evolution and strategy, assisting in defining the architecture and standards, responsible detailed planning, high profile and complex designs. Provide third line support. Product evaluation, testing and selection. Provide detailed documentation (design implementation plans/diagrams). Oversee network implementation and administration. Project management (design, develop and implement Network Projects). Configuration creation and implementation overview. Attention to detail is a key requirement.. The ability to liaise with vendors and internal departments
