Docklands based investment bank seek a Production Support Analyst within the Front Office Fixed Income Team. Need to have specifically worked with the business/ traders directly. Have experience with Messaging Tools- TIBCO RV/ MSMQ, Point to point, broadcast and multicast development experience, Excel / VBA development and C#, VB script development. The prime responsibility of the Production Support team is to provide support to the trading and risk systems across the Fixed Income business. You will be first line IT trader support for the Fixed Income Rates and Credit business. The role requires a candidate with gravitas to communicate effectively at all levels, able to build strong relationships with the business. The ideal candidate will have clear examples of having delivered successfully to tight timescales and worked proactively to solve issues and fully take onboard the concept of criticality. You will have an understanding of financial products within Fixed Income is essential- e.g. Credit, Rates, US Treasury, Operating systems knowledge (Windows, Unix), Commercial knowledge and experience with ION, Working knowledge of SQL, Be able to pick up new technologies and to want to develop skills extremely quickly.
The team is located alongside the traders on the trading floor
- First point of contact for trader issues/requests.
- All requirements with regards to the support of the Fixed Income trading applications
- Take ownership of issues and see through to completion
- Be able to quickly understand, assess and give feedback on the steps to resolve the issue
- Be able to diagnose and effectively communicate/escalate incidents and problems
- Be able to involve the correct resources to address any issues logged.
