909 - Technical Writer - Planned Maintenance

They are currently seeking a Technical Writer – Planned Preventive Maintenance to be based at the North Camp located in the North of the Sinai close to the Mediterranean coast.
Reporting into the Facilities Engineering Officer you will be responsible for writing specific maintenance tasks ready for loading into a computerised maintenance package. You will gather data from assets, suppliers and manufacturers handbooks and create appropriate hierarchy and maintenance tasks for each asset, set the maintenance task schedules and develop a master time schedule.
Assets to be included as part of this project will include, sub –stations, electrical distribution, water storage and transfer, waste water treatment plants and lifting stations, generators, kitchen appliances, laundry equipment, fire alarm and suppression equipment, gymnasium equipment , HVAC, pressure vessels and petroleum storage and dispensing equipment.

Knowledge and Skills:
To meet this unique challenge you will be an accomplished Facilities Maintenance Engineer with in depth experience of planning and writing of technical manuals and procedures and implementing computerized PPM systems.
Your practical experience should be supported by a Degree or Higher Certificate of Education, or equivalent with an emphasis on facilities or maintenance engineering.
You should be pc literate – MS Office and experience of SAP would be an advantage but is not essential.
Superb inter-personal skills and instant credibility are essential as you will be inter-facing with a number of people from different backgrounds, nationalities and religions. Finally you should possess a Drivers Licence.
This is an outstanding challenge for an accomplished Technical Writer looking for something different.
The basic salary is paid in the currency of your citizenship and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee.
This project is anticipated to last 12 months and an unaccompanied status contract is offered which includes free accommodation, laundry, local transport, life assurance, disability insurance and meals. In addition employees have the use of a phone to call family and friends and the internet for e-mails etc.
The R and R entitlement is around 25 days over the contract plus 11 public holidays a year. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are paid for by our client.
