Application Packager (App V & ChangeBase)

Application Packager (App V & ChangeBase) required on an initial 3 month contract.

Applicants MUST be IMMEDIATELY available.

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft App-V packager to assist with a Virtual Desktop migration project.

The VDI solution utilises a combination of Windows 7 x86 & Windows 2008R2 x64 to provide a generic desktop to our diverse user base.

You will be competent in the virtualising of line of business applications with Microsoft App-V 4.6 SP2 and the utilisation of SCCM 2007R3

Skills Required
- Packaging of line of business applications with Microsoft App-V to deploy applications.
- Deployment of applications within the App-V management console
- Resolving packaging bugs as found by the user testing process
- Creation of Active Directory Groups and adding group memberships
- SCCM collection creation with links to AD Groups or File version etc. for applications which can't be App-V'd such as applications with printer drivers
- Producing installation & uninstallation scripts for SCCM application deployment
- Group Policy modification for shortcut deployment
- Guide and document an upgrade process for existing virtualised applications
- Use of Quest (Dell) ChangeBase would be advantageous
