Application Support Analyst- Finance

My client, a market leader is recruiting for an Application Support Analyst to support Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system finance applications and liaise with 3rd party as well as internal resources to ensure optimum application support is achieved in territories. The successful candidate will apply and ensure compliance with global and local policies and act as a backup support resource for financial ERP applications. Responsibilities will include providing first and second line support to the clients users and ensuring that finance processes (Accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial reporting, inventory accounting) are working correctly. You will develop new or amended processes to meet specific customer, supplier or internal user requirements in conjunction with the Business Development Group and use internally approved IT process change request procedures. You will also liaise with external suppliers to ensure application fixes and changes meet the business requirements and are delivered on time and you will develop or help develop and deliver end-user training as required. The successful candidate will ensure that IT issues allocated are being dealt within a timely manner according to prioritisation, agreed deliverables and communicate well on status of issues being dealt with. You will implement and perform operational duties in compliance to internal Sarbanes-Oxley compliance procedures and ensure minimum support cover is available as directed by the IT Director or IT management. The candidate will actively participate in weekly group meetings and serve as a backup to the Application Support Analyst- Logistics. You will build and maintain good working relationships and communication channels with staff and service partners in the clients international territories and you will build and maintain good working relationships with external service partners. Key skills required are; industry knowledge-3 years J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne distribution; J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Set; problem solving; organisational ability; negotiating and influencing skills; attention to detail. Apart from English, an additional European language will be an advantage and apart from JDE, knowledge of Cognos and Optio will be an added advantage.
