Area Manager – West Midlands

Do you consider yourself an experienced manager with the desire to drive a business? If so you have the opportunity to join one of the UK’s most well respected blue-chip retailers as an Area Manager. With nearly 700 stores in the UK, they still continue to have aggressive expansion plans with new store openings planned.

The duties and responsibilities associated with this role centres around an overall accountability for the performance of the stores in your region. This translates into P&L awareness, assessment and development of store practices in order to maximise sales potential, and a real focus on your colleagues and customers.

The area comprises of between 10-15 stores and would be suited to a candidate placed in the Brimingham or West Midlands Locations.

The ideal candidate should have area management or strong store management experience from a blue-chip supermarket, or fast paced mixed goods retailer. You will need extensive experience of managing a team and enjoy working to your own initiative and embrace innovation rather than just implementation of processes.

You should be able to motivate, lead and inspire your team and also be aware of the need to advance your colleagues and set targets for individual performance and/or achievement in order to make a strategic longer-term impact.
