Audit Manager, Technology Audit
Group Internal Audit for a global Bank (wholesale)

Role Purpose:
To execute the strategic audit plan of Wholesale Bank – Information Technology to ensure that technology risk affecting the business is adequately covered.
To provide assurance as needed to senior managers of the Group that the processes and controls by means of which the technology applications and systems are managed are appropriate and functioning effectively.
To work closely with business auditors and act as the subject matter expert in the area of wholesale bank technology with special focus on Financial Markets applications and processes.
To understand risk and documentation and linking of risk assessments, audit scopes and test plans.


Key outcomes:
To plan, perform and team lead audits in execution of the WB IT Audit Plan.
To write audit reports for the area of responsibility to ensure consistent quality and timeliness.
To provide audit advice and ad hoc value added services to stakeholders as deemed appropriate from time to time.
To track and follow-up on audit issues.
To identify and escalate significant issues to WB Technology Audit Head
To facilitate best practice transfer both internally within the audit teams and externally to the business communities.
To provide technical coaching and guidance to other auditors and guests.


Qualitative:
Understanding of risk and documentation and linking of risk assessment (ANA), audit scope (TOR) and RCM
Clear justification of inclusion/exclusion of risks
Risks, controls and tests appropriately documented
Issues raised in the audit report relate to key risks in the audit scope
Issues graded according to Group/Functional or Country methodology
Skills & Knowledge
Computer Science or related Degree
Understanding of Banking and Finance
Professional certification like CIA, CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc encouraged.




Responsibilities of Product Champions

 Focus on specific Global Business Products/ Functions
 Support Functional Head in maintaining relationship with Executives responsible for Global Business Products/ Functions
 Develop technical expertise for Global Business Product/ Functions
 In general, act as Team Leader on audits of Global Business Product/ Functions
 Where applicable, deputize for Functional Team Leaders on Process Governance Committees.
 Support the Functional Heads to ensure CETs are kept current and in line with business growth/ development
 Support: Functional Heads in managing functional team.

Prior Experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Big 4
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as an internal IT auditor in an Investment bank
