Audit Manager - TOP60 Firm, Oxford (to £60,000)

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a highly established and growing Top60 Accounting Firm who are looking for an Audit Manager to work within their Audit team. With a client base covering Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Wiltshire and Middlesex, the role will involve assisting with Audit planning & delivery, supervision of junior staff, meeting budgets/targets and client reporting. Key duties include :

• Ensuring all Audit engagements within your portfolio are in compliance with auditing standards and internal procedures
• Contributing to the financial performance of the audit team by meeting target fees and chargeable time
• Supervising the work of junior team members on audits including on-the-job training
• Responsible for audit planning and timetabling of hours across the team
• On all assignments, understanding the budgets and monitoring work against agreed targets
• Preparing and reviewing work papers, along with drafts of financial statements
• Leading and managing fieldwork on client sites including liaising with other departments to ensure a smooth Audit process
• Addressing and discussing with clients any technical audit issues identified during the course of audits
• Identifying areas requiring improvement in client business processes and providing recommendations
• Assisting managers/partners with special audit and investigative assignments as required

To be considered for the position, you should be able to project a professional, credible image with confident communication skills and ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified. The position is 100% auditing, so the ideal background would be an Audit Manager or Supervisor from an existing mid-tier accounting firm, or someone from a much larger firm who is looking for a broader portfolio of clients and true end-to-end audit experience. Due to the travel requirements of the role, you will need to be a car driver with a valid UK License for this position.
