Audit Senior/Assistant Manager
Bedfordshire - East Anglia
The post holder will be responsible for carrying out or supervising the conduct of risk assurance and advisory engagements under the direct supervision of the Managers and Partners who will provide guidance and support at all times. Main responsibilities include:
• Pre-audit scoping and preparation of audit planning documents;
• Development of audit programmes, scrutiny, testing and validation as required to obtain assurance on the effectiveness of risk management arrangements using modern, risk-based, audit methodology;
• Preparation and/or review of draft audit reports;
• Meeting with client management to discuss issues raised, liaison and progress meeting with line manager/ partner;
• Managing day-to-day interface with clients whilst on-site;
• On-site management of junior staff /trainees as required;
• Staff appraisal and development forms on completion of each job.
As well as audit you will also be working on accounts preparation and other general practice work. The mix of work is 70% audit and 30% Accounts.
You will be either ACCA/ACA qualified and have at least 1 years post qualification experience. Experience within practice and working with OMB/SME clients is essential.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to become an assistant manager. This will involve working closely with management and effectively running audits and account jobs from start to finish.
