Rate: £60K to £100K (per year)
Our client, a leading private equity and secondary investment firm are seeking a Project Manager to work within their Business Systems team.
The Project Manager will need to be capable of managing and co-ordinating existing and new pipeline projects, together with their associated teams.
Experience of the Private Equity/Investment Banking industry is preferred but knowledge of back office banking systems is suitable.
The role is multi-faceted and requires an experienced individual with a strong customer focus, excellent interpersonal skills, all-round IT knowledge, and the ability to solve business critical problems in diverse and challenging environments. The person will work closely with key departments such as Finance, Marketing, Investment, HR, Tax, and IT.
Required skills and experience:
Accreditation in a project management methodology such as PRINCE2, MSP, etc but more importantly the ability to think out of the box to achieve results.
6+ years of full lifecycle Project Management experience
Developed, implemented & managed governance framework to manage internal technical projects & change
Good understanding of PMO set-up and management
Management of a diverse portfolio of IT and business related projects that include software development, infrastructure, and business focused systems
Good understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design, infrastructure, web and client/server architectures
Understanding of the QA/Testing process
Advanced facilitation skills & the gravitas/confidence to lead solution definition workshops
Desirable skills:
Experience of working in a Private Equity/Investment Banking back office environment
Experience of managing .NET development projects and modern development methodologies (RAD, JAD & AGILE)
