Bid Manager - Datacomms/IT

My client is a leading global provider of managed network and application delivery services for multinational enterprises and carriers. Servicing over 1000 major businesses worldwide they are positioned for growth and are aggressively taking market share from their competitors.

They are now looking for a creative Bid Manager to provide leadership for high quality, winning bids mainly in support of new business but also managing existing accounts. Working on bids in excess of £500K you will be responsible for leading the bid team, ensuring that everyone knows what input is required of them and by when. You will ensure the bid is produced on time and is both financially competitive and technically compelling, but also commercially viable for my client.

The successful candidate will be highly numerate with several years experience of managing complex, high value bids ideally but not essentially within the IT or telecoms sectors. You will probably be of graduate calibre and will have sound commercial skills gained working in a professional bids environment. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and will be used to working in a project-driven environment with fixed deadlines.
