An excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading providers of on-campus student accommodation as a Bid Manager.
The Bid Manager will be part of the business development and commercial function and will act as the first point of contact for all bid related issues, set the strategic direction of the bid and take ownership for all bid content, ensuring that the requirements and risks are fully understood and communicated to all relevant parties.
The main purpose of Bid Manager role:
- To coordinate and deliver competitive and compliant bids to preferred bidder, partner or financial close stage, in order to deliver the strategic goals of the company.
- To develop and foster relationships with client and all key stakeholders that will allow a true partnership approach and identify the key factors that will ensure the success of any bids.
The main responsibilities of the Bid Manager include:
- To ensure profitable new business opportunities are secured which meet the required return and risk criteria.
- Ensure the timely preparation and submission of bids to include all the necessary information so that the opportunity is secured.
- Ensure the timely preparation and submission of pre-qualifications to enable to company to be invited to tender for opportunities.
- To action and develop leads with the Relationship Director for business opportunities and develop and maintain effective working relationships with relevant clients.
- Provide commercial support on all FM issues.
- Ensure all risk mitigation measures and controls are effectively implemented.
- Bid management and transaction support.
- Day-to-day management of the transaction process from the company's perspective.
- Provide robust FM cost models for the delivery of hard and soft FM for all new opportunities.
- Negotiate facilities management contracts beneficial to the company.
- Ensure the financial model has an adequate life cycle fund and has regard to all long term life cycle and FM issues.
- Report to the board on commercial matters arising through the bid and transaction process.
- Support the transaction in relation to model inputs and model audit preparation.
- Any other duties as required in order to achieve financial close of a project.
