Business Analyst

Our client is a leading global health and hygiene company, with sales of $16.7 billion. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the company’s European Functional Headquarters for a Business Analyst. As the financial expert in a cross functional, decision making team, you will make recommendations based on relevant financial analysis to enable sound business decisions and deliver business results. Your pro-active participation will be key to the development and implementation of long term business and financial strategies to ensure that the needs of customers, shoppers, choosers and users are met with excellence.
This is a highly influential role, you will be expected to critique and challenge all business / financial related issues. You will partner with sales and marketing teams ensuring profitable strategies are implemented.
Key responsibilities
• Providing expert recommendations based on sound analysis on relevant projects.
• Identifying business opportunities, anticipating risks and recommending solutions.
• Delivering results through the ownership of business plans to add value and highlight risks.
• Developing forward looking scenarios to meet longer term business objectives
• Recommending approaches and processes for reaching business targets.
• Ensuring the continuous improvement of all systems and processes.
Candidates will be educated to at least graduate level, ideally with a recognised financial qualification or European equivalent. You will be able to demonstrate a high degree of financial competence for this position in addition to strong commercial orientation, preferably gained within an FMCG environment. Knowledge and capability to perform investment appraisals is essential to this role and experience in evaluating promotional programming, capital business implications of general business practice is desirable.
Key qualities include strong leadership qualities, communication, vision and initiative and you must be able to tactfully influence others. Knowledge of financial theory and practice is desirable.
