Business Analyst - Structured Notes - Contract
City of London - London
My client a leading Investment Bank based in the City is looking to recruit a Business Analyst with strong structured notes or derivatives knowledge.
The main accountabilites for this role are as follows:
Define a Front-to-Back operating model for all Structured Notes (regardless of underlying asset class)
Improve the accuracy of note valuations
Develop a new Note Aggregation and Workflow tool for use across the whole note lifecycle
Move to an in-house system for real-time risk-viewing
Develop robust downstream feeds for a) Risk and Finance and b) price distribution to Bloomberg and exchanges
Consolidate settlement system flows
It is important that you have a reasonable understanding of Financial products including derivatives and notes as you will need to be able to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders including the head of MTNs and the head of Finance. The project has an extremely large remit and in particular requires a strong understanding of securitised products. Therefore, any previous experience of working with notes in Finance, Operations or Risk would be hugely beneficial.
We are looking for someone who has strong experience of working on a large project in a similar environment and have demonstrated that they can learn quickly. It is key that you can back-up your claims with tangible examples of deliveries.
In terms of personality, we are looking for a motivated and intelligent individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role is quite politically charged and, therefore, someone capable of acting diplomatically would be beneficial. You must also be confident and capable of preparing and presenting complex plans for the future Technology stack to senior stakeholders
