Business Dev Manager - London/SE (Building Serv)

Our client is a leading building services contractor active across the UK. With the recent appointment of a new Director, the London and SE region is undergoing a transformation with a re-invigorated management team, strategic business growth plans and a greater focus on front-end operations.
The region enjoyed turnover of £30m this financial year however, due to a lack of diversity in workload and projects coming to their natural close, this will see something of a hit for 2013 and they are therefore now seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager to further develop opportunities across multiple sectors.
You will be a strong business generator with good local knowledge of the construction industry and solid relationships along with a sense of commerciality who is looking for the autonomy to develop business with a Top M&E Contractor that this opportunity offers. You will not simply be a door-opener but someone who has strong local links into Main Contractors, Consultants & End-User clients alike.
An individual who will create an emotional link with clients to secure repeat business and who can develop your own strategic opportunities not simply ‘chase the market’. Client Relationship Management will be key to the success of this role. You will have:
• Proven and successful experience gained in a Business Development function within the Construction industry likely gained within either a Main Contractor or Building Services
• A technical understanding of building services contracting
• A talent for strategic vision, very strong commercial awareness and a successful track record of developing & delivering high quality business opportunities
• Knowledge of the London and SE market place
