Business Development Associate
Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia - Other
This is a permanent post, fully tax free plus housing, medical benefits) it is possible to live in Bahrain and commute daily to Al-Khobar.
The primary responsibility is to identify, validate, pursue, and capture business within the related business area of Oil & Gas midstream and downstream operations developing solutions requirements oriented towards petrochemicals production and expanding Trading customer and agency base.
Tasks are accomplished by identifying opportunities through market analysis, customer interface, understanding customer’s needs, prioritizing and focusing pursuits; developing actions and strategy to capture the business; understanding the value of technology and its application to meet the user’s needs; developing customer relations; presenting effective presentations of product, service, and technology.
Play a lead role in business development and new sales generation through prospects and customers
Responsible for building market presence for product-based petrochemicals operations offerings.
Penetrate prospect companies and develop relationships with their key staff.
Analyze customers’ plant operations and purchasing system, identify opportunities
Consistently identify new sources of business through networking, referrals, and aggressive prospecting. Able to leverage online networking tools to help break into new accounts
Must be able to clearly articulate the products and services that meet the client’s needs.
Manage customer and prospect relationship with account executives and to manage any leads brought by members of the sales team.
Increase capacity and throughput of existing sales channels
Perform business and financial analysis on deals.
Identify key decision makers, coordinate meetings, and develop and deliver presentations that clearly represent to a variety of audiences using visual aids, slide shows, and other media
Develop sales strategies, techniques, and tactics based on customer feedback and the market environment.
Negotiate deals with potential buyers.
Minimum Required Skills, Experience, Training
Essential Skills & Competencies include, but not limited to, the following:
Experience in midstream, downstream Oil & Gas industry and familiarity with KSA markets
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication, as well as strong consultative selling and negotiating skills.
Successful track record working with sales organizations to achieve and exceed their sales goals
Good financial comprehension and aptitude
Excellent technological skills with emphasis on MS Excel
Ability to embrace strategies of the market and design/implement tactical plans that contribute to the strategy
Education requirements
BA in Marketing or Business Administration. Candidates should have at least 5-10 years of experience working in downstream Oil & Gas for business development. MBA preferred.
