This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s top construction contractors as a Business Development Director within the facilities management division.
The main purpose of the Business Development Director role is to secure profitable work for the business while ensuring the highest level of commitment, awareness and results on SHE issues.
The Business Development Director will be expected maintain, develop and enhance current and new customer relationships with the Business Director. The Business Development Director will also ensure delivery of the business plan for the business stream and will be required to develop robust business stream strategy to ensure profitable growth going forward. Finally, the Business Development Director will ensure supply chain strategies are delivered to maximise the benefits to all concerned with Business Director.
The key responsibilities for the Business Development Director include:
- Maximising the life cycle of a client through integrating themselves in to the philosophy & culture of the customer, and aligning themselves with their business drivers. Enabling them to identify and secure additional work or new opportunities for either their business or another sister business, that will add value both to the customer and the company.
- Produce, deliver and regularly review a plan that identifies how this additional work, both from existing and new customers will be ‘captured’.
- Understands how existing and similar potential clients are changing in the short to medium term as a result of both internal and external influences (R&D, IT, legislation etc) and the impact of this on the company in terms of delivery.
- Actively promotes the capability of the company as a whole with current customers and in way that reinforces the company and sector / business ‘brand’.
