Business Development Executive
London - Home Based
An established independent fiduciary company is seeking a business development executive to source and introduce high-quality business and promote sales of company products by developing relationships with professional contacts.
The role will be home-based with an area of responsibility covering the M4 corridor, NW London, and the south Midlands, including Birmingham.
Primary Responsibilities:
~ Establish and nurture contacts with accountants, IFAs, solicitors and other professional intermediaries to achieve overall objectives
~Ensure that appropriate tax advice is sought for new business introduced to the company and act in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
Skills:
~Awareness of taxation issues in relevant jurisdictions and an understanding of tax planning
~An understanding of the minimum due diligence requirements necessary to establish client relationships in accordance with UK guidelines
~An understanding of Guernsey and UK regulatory and compliance requirements, money-laundering regulations, suspicious and fraudulent transactions, and the reporting of same
~A good understanding of Guernsey and UK trust & company law, the development of a trust concept, and how trusts and companies are established, administered and terminated~A good understanding of the types of investments available to offshore companies and trusts
~Awareness of the external factors that influence the offshore finance industry
Personal Criteria:
~A high level of professional knowledge and ability, as well as the ability to maintain and develop relationships with professional contacts
~Relevant experience, gained in an offshore-related environment, coupled with a relevant professional qualification
~Self-motivation and self-sufficiency in order to be able to work effectively in an isolated environment with remote technical support, and the ability to plan personal work programmes
