Our client is a communications, systems integration and support company, whose principal capability is in communications, command and control for military purposes. They are looking to recruit a Business Development Executive to promote sales worldwide or their products.

The Business Development Executive will:

+ Conduct customer sales meetings, presentations and intelligence gathering
+ Anticipate and identify customer solutions that centre around our clients products
+ Develop individual customer pursuit strategies, capture plans and follow-on orders
+ Lead cross-functional demonstration and bid teams
+ Collect competitor intelligence on equipment and competitor intentions
+ Assist with drafting literature, bids, quotations and promotional campaigns
+ Host visitors (after seeking export approval) and coordinate visit programmes with staff
+ Comply with all company export regulations for travel and equipment security
+ Lead the pursuit of the countries specified in the latest version of HOBD's Country List
+ Ensure that our clients commission and resale compensation obligations are minimised
+ Arrange with Commercial for timely and relevant country UK & US ITAR licenses
+ Be prepared to support other country pursuits as directed by HOBD
+ Recommend product developments to match pursuits
+ Seek written authorisation from HOBD and the Export Department before booking flights

The Business Development Executive will need:

+ Experience of Business Development
+ Self-starting and self-motivated
+ Happy to work hard at a wide and diverse range of tasks
+ Able to travel and conduct late night and week-end work
+ Able to deal effectively with foreign military and civilians
+ Experience of International Defence Export Business Development
+ Knowledge of military communications equipment

Desirable:

+ Experience of UK and Foreign MODs, DE&S and BOWMAN radios.
+ A modern foreign language (Spanish, German, French or Arabic)
