Our client is one of the leading building services contractors in the UK with an annual turnover in excess of £600m. Working with some the leading public and private sector organisations, they provide a range of services including M&E installation and maintenance, ICT, off-site manufacturing, interiors, building management, and rail engineering.
They cover a wide range of sectors from Healthcare, Education, Power, Rail, Commercial, Public Buildings, Residential, Retail, Sports and Leisure.
Due to continued growth and a healthy forward order book, they are seeking to appoint a Business Development Manager spearhead their activities across Scotland.
The role is far more than just being a salesman; it is a key strategic role and one that will have a major impact on the business. You will be responsible for business generation within this geographical area spearheading the businesses’ focus on developing long term client relationships and winning new work.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to come into an established and leading business, to make a mark and develop business with your own ideas.
Our client would also welcome applications from anyone from a consultancy engineering background who is looking to move away from their current traditional role and step into a sales role.
What we are looking for:
- A proven track record of operating in a strategic work winning capacity within the construction industry.
- A strong business generator with an established network of clients and contacts in Scotland
- Commercial acumen, estimating and tendering capabilities
- Good management, communication, negotiation, team working and leadership skills
