Business Development Manager - DC Power

Ellis Fairbank is currently retained by one of the world’s leading power companies to identify & recruit an outstanding Business Development Manager to penetrate the industrial market and promote a portfolio of DC Power products throughout the United Kingdom.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the business forward through strategically identifying customers in the industrial market - i.e. Oil and Gas and petrochemical.
You will be expected to build relationships with key individuals within the market to establish sustainable and profitable business channels to expose the company to new clients. Based from home, you will have full autonomy to go into the market. With full technical support and project managers you will have the confidence to win business and know that it will be fulfilled.

Established over thirty-five years ago, my client is an exceptional business who thrive on remaining ahead of the market and providing innovative and sustainable power solutions to a number of industries including telecoms, oil & gas, marine & offshore, infrastructure and process industry. Based in the south of England, the company is part of a global group with over 3000 employees with a presence in 39 countries worldwide - operating in 100 countries.
The business has an unmatched portfolio for the global Industrial Power market, which comprises of standard solutions to customised systems and can be manufactured at all major system assembly sites; which optimising logistics, cost and local adaptation.
A wide range of inverters and inverter systems for both industrial and telecom applications is available, coupled with a range of industrial products enables the business to deliver systems providing any standard voltage from 12 to 220 VDC or 230 VAC and mixes thereof. A great flexibility in module, controller and system design, enables the business to meet any system requirement.

The calibre of person we are recruiting will have demonstrable business development skills coupled with an exceptional understanding of the Industrial market – including oil & gas and petrochemical. As the role requires a technical understanding, an electrical / mechanical degree or equivalent is essential.
The process of promoting DC power products can be a quick win, or a long-tailed process. This requires a degree of commercial acumen coupled with the ability to spot an opportunity. As the business grows, my client is working towards building a sustainable team which may include account mangers and project delivery professionals.
