A primary defence contractor to the UK MOD has signed a major sales and distribution agreement for an advanced Armoured Vehicle system. This new business opportunity has created a brand new role for a Business Development Manager.

Primary Purpose of the Business Development Manager:
+ To promote the BUSHMASTER platform and Family of Vehicles (FoV) in the UK, assisting with all Business Development and Bidding activity.
+ To meet or exceed annual Domestic, Multi-Domestic and Export Order Intake (OI) targets for the Vehicle Systems Group.

Key Tasks:
+ Pursuit of all opportunities suited to the BUSHMASTER Family of Vehicles.
+ Support to all aspects of BUSHMASTER BD in the UK and supporting all European opportunities.
+ Coordination and forward planning of all aspects of BD vehicle configuration management.
+ Coordination of all vehicle husbandry issues, including but not limited to; transportation of vehicle, export control, storage of vehicles.

Technical & Professional skills:
+ The incumbent will be required to ensure that they understand the emerging Protected Mobility requirement and also the legacy and future AFV environment.
+ An appreciation of the complexity of winning major prime contract programmes with a good record of achievement.
+ Experience of AFV business capture, i.e. identification, development and winning complex bids and proven track record of managing commercial risk.

Education & Qualifications:
+ Degree, or equivalent background, with an additional business qualification desirable
