Business Manager / General Manager

Rullion Engineering Personnel is working with an exciting performer in the nuclear market, with design, test and manufacturing capability. Due to expansion, they are looking for a business manager to ensure performance and development across a specific business area.
With his/her own P&L, the business manager will be personally accountable for the growth of their area. Essentially he/she will act as a General Manager covering both business and project development activity, hunting for work through the sales & tendering teams. The company's major project has traditionally seen 25-50% growth per year so there will be a high level of expectation in terms of continued growth and delivery. Specific KPIs will be around the delivery of profitable growth, however it is expected that recruitment, retention and development of key members of staff will also be important. The successful candidate for this role must have a nuclear background. It is also important that they have worked in an engineering / design capacity selling directly into a Tier 1 customer in this market.
The most important aspect of this role is attitude. The candidates must have exceptional relationship building skills, the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical resource, both internally and externally, and the know-how to manage key projects through to a successful conclusion.
