Buyer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Buyer, within the childrenswear buying department at a large fashion retailer based in Wales. Reporting to the buying controller you will have autonomy in your role as you source and develop new and exciting ranges using your creative skills, to be sold across the U.K.

Role Responsibilities:
- Constant development and understanding of the customer, in order to be proactive sourcing new trends and fashions.
- To deliver a balanced range that is within the parameters of the store visual guidelines and has strong visual impact for the customer.
- Anticipate future market trends and incorporate into the range to maintain a competitive edge and satisfy customer needs.
- To develop the range, colour palette, material and product in line with the company strategy and deadlines.
- Responsibility for buying assistant, by managing and reviewing their workload.

For this role you will need to have strong communications skills as well as the ability to negotiate for the best possible price to fall in line with company targets.
