Buying Manager

Leading retailer requires a strong retail buying candidate to join its management team. The successful applicant will be responsible for driving revenue and margin within their category by delivering effective marketing and pricing strategies, building and managing supplier relationships, and managing inventory and product availability.

Responsibilities
- Development and implementation of category strategies covering all aspects of pricing, promotional activity, supplier relationships, range selection and inventory levels.
- dentify areas of strength and weakness in the business and monitor the impact of changes.
- Identify new product selection opportunities
- Prioritize and resolve the many opportunities to improve customer experience.
- Help test and implement new pricing and buying tools.
- Accountable for P&L and the strategic decisions and tactical execution.
- Manage and develop a team.

Applicants will need to be a highly experienced professional with a track record of category management or buying with strong analytical skills and extensive management experience. Applicants will have experience of hiring, developing and leading a team. Essentially you will have strong verbal and written communication skills to manage your team, work cross-functionally with others and influence key people within the company and externally.
