C4ISR Senior Systems Engineer - Hampshire - To £60
Hampshire - South Central / Coast
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and well-qualified Senior System Engineer, experienced in Command and Control and C4ISR for a number of posts. We are seeking a senior system engineer with a broad knowledge across the spectrum of concepts involved in C4ISR, with particular specialisation in: command and control systems, communications systems, or sensor systems, including:
•C4ISR systems at the strategic, operational and tactical levels
•Architecture development, analysis and performance evaluation
•Prototype development activities in support of the capture and identification of requirements
•Planning and conduct of analyses, experiments and proof-of-concept tests to support assessment, evaluation, and validation of existing NATO and national systems, or potential future concepts, or architectures
•System interoperability and network-enabled capabilities
Successful applicants must have:
A university degree in an engineering, physics, computer/information science or closely related discipline or equivalent
Demonstrable experience in the following areas:
•System Engineering for C4ISR or related systems.
•Sound knowledge of modern system engineering, system architecture and system design principles.
•Experience with the use of standard architecture frameworks; e.g., NAF, DoDAF, MoDAF
•Laboratory and field trials planning, execution and analysis for concept evaluation;
•Modern technology trends, particularly in the area of commercial / COTS products;
•Specialist knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
•Communications systems including:
•Modern static and mobile digital communication networking techniques, protocols and standards;
•Personal and professional mobile radio systems such as GSM, GPRS, TETRA, or SATCOM;
•Communications security;
•Methodologies and tools for communication networks analysis;
•Electromagnetic wave propagation;
Command and control systems, including:
•Analytic capability and knowledge of concepts and technologies in areas such as: systems analysis, data fusion, Command and Control decision-making and data processing.
•Modelling and Simulation applied to studies and analysis of command and control systems
•Tactical data link modeling and simulation
•Sound knowledge of software architectures and system design
•Development of information exchange requirements
Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
