C4ISTAR Business Development Manager required for one of the UK's leading Defence and Aerospace software companies.

The role of the Business Development Manager is to develop and execute strategies to win profitable business in order to contribute to our clients projected growth plans over the next five years.

Responsibilities

•Contributing to the development of the long term strategic business plan over a 5 year period.
•Identifying market developments and pursuing strategic opportunities arising from this
•Gathering market intelligence to identify future opportunities and potential clients.
•Developing, building and maintaining both new and existing long term customer relationships, as well as establishing and sustaining wider relationships in the international defence environment

Education/Experience

•Demonstrable experience in an international sales, marketing or business development role dealing with complex, technical solutions
•Deep understanding of the international defence market, particularly the C4ISTAR sector
•Demonstrable track record of identifying opportunities, winning and delivering new business – delivering complex solutions to meet client needs and selling the proposition by demonstrating its ‘value add' for the client
•A strategic thinker who can spot opportunities and create the value proposition to convert prospects into clients
•Enthusiasm, energy and drive – the ability to make things happen and turn plans into successful business
•Eligible for the relevant security clearance
