Middle Eastern retail telecoms leader requires a buying manager to underpin development of call packages, handsets and accessories.
In the last few years the business has grown in new markets, forming a network of businesses and investments in a number of GCC countries, Asia and Africa. The company now has a footprint in Kuwait, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey and South Africa which has enabled it to serve a greater number of its customers.
The company wants to be the market leader in offering retail customers the latest handsets and call packages, phone accessories and telecoms solutions.
To deliver this offer the business is looking for a successful buying manager with experience gained in the electronics or retail telecoms market. In this role you will be accountable for leading a team of buyers in product sourcing, supplier negotiation and range development.
You must optimise product mix in line with brand standards and develop creative and interactive solutions to provide point of difference. For example new handsets that offer internet and personal organiser functions, in store download options and additional home telecom options such as PDAs and laptops.
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate experience of managing a team within a telecoms buying capacity. You must demonstrate an eye for identifying top sellers and commerciality to capitalise on potential business opportunities.
