Category Manager – Electrical

A fantastic career opportunity has arisen within a high profile category to deliver the trading strategy for Electrical.
This exciting buying role also involves range selection and product management of own brand products. As a Buyer you will be responsible for setting and delivering the full trading agenda, through strategic, business and promotional plans. You will be commercially astute, as you deliver against the key drivers of profitability whilst responding to market trends. You will need the ability to develop, articulate, and deliver the strategic trading agenda and manage, coach and develop a team with two direct line reports.
You will be a highly driven, confident, decisive commercial thinker who has the ability to manage a large and complex supplier base including many Far East partners and a broad diverse product area.
Knowledge of the category would be an advantage, but more important will be the ability to work with the whole team (stores and head office) to understand and profitably deliver customer needs. Negotiation strength, resilience and the ability to work effectively under pressure are also key.
