Category Strategy Controller

Our client is the UK's largest pharmaceutical business and, as a result of continued growth and expansion, they are looking for a commercial category professional to lead a team of 5 Category Managers in developing and implementing the UK strategy in conjunction with the European category function.

Sales strategy and category marketing form an integral part of the team. It will be your responsibility to ensure the category team is focussed on the right commercial opportunities to drive the business and customer objectives, and to lead the development of effective channel and customer development plans, then to work with the trading teams to implement the agreed strategies and tactics to realise those opportunities.

This is a priority category as our client has a number of category partnerships and high levels of influence with a number of customers. As a result, they are looking for a more experienced category professional to develop the channel strategy in conjunction with the sales teams, and customer category strategies.

With excellent education, you will demonstrate a progressive and successful career to date gained in a blue chip FMCG sales, category or retail buying environment.
