Cheif Operating Officer

The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for ensuring that the Bank attains its stated operational goals, by leading and directing the efforts of operational units which report in to him/her. This position will report to the Managing Director.
Key responsibilities
 Be accountable for maintaining the operational integrity and back office performance of the bank;
 Plan, organise, and control all the day-to-day back office functions and activities of the Bank consistent with the goals, objectives, and policies established by the Board;
 Provide direction and structure for all operating units of the Bank; head office and branch Operations, Administration, Risk, & Treasury
 Work with the Managing Director to support and successfully implement the Bank’s ongoing business strategy and development;
 Implement programmes agreed by the Board towards the profitable growth and operation of the bank;
 Maintain and enhance “best-in-breed” operational planning, compliance and risk management systems;
 Ensure that the operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by the management and other employees;
 Closely monitor the operating and financial results against plans and budgets; report variances and respond appropriately;
 Ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements as stipulated by Company Law, the FSA and other UK authorities;
 Hire and act as a mentor towards an effective operational management team.
 Manage third party suppliers and enforce SLA’s
 Enhance service delivery in all areas to exceed customer expectations
Competencies, skills, knowledge and experience to undertake the role:

• 10 years UK banking experience, 5 years of which must be at management level
