This hugely successful organisation are one of Europe's leaders in Telecommunications, Voice & Data Networking and Managed Hosting. They offer a range of cutting edge network services to customers throughout Europe and North America. As a result of their continued growth they have a brand new opportunity for a highly skilled Chief Architect to lead the Hosting Engineering Group, the group is responsible for the technical research, development, documentation and release to Operations of the managed hosting service platform.
This is a pivotal role providing a high degree of visibility, its main function is to ensure that a standard, homogeneous and competitive offering is provided across its footprint. To ensure this is delivered you will work closely with the company's Data Centres, interact with Products and Sales, undertake development lead and project management responsibility, advise Products and Services as to financial and operational models for platforms and services and engage and manage relationships with vendors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background within hosting / data centric roles, and solid technical skills that include Virtualisation, Redhat / Windows / Solaris build and patch management in a Hosting Centre environment, experience of storage solutions and knowledge of IP Networking amongst others. The role will give you a high degree of visibility within the organisation and through working with the Product Managers and Data Centre Managers you will use your experience and knowledge to provide input into new products being offered.
