Chief Technical Architect

To be responsible for providing oversight for the architecture of customer facing solutions as well as taking an overarching remit to ensure that customer requirements will continue to be met by planned developments in products and components. To provide technical and architectural support for customer facing solutions architects, ensuring that they have the tools available to provide the best possible designs to meet customer needs. Responsible for assessing suitable software and hardware technologies for meeting tactical customer requirements as well as providing support and guidance to products teams. Shall be able to present, discuss and translate, at all levels, the technical aspects of the platform, interact with supplier and internal cross functional teams and support customer facing engagements on an adhoc basis.
This is a key role requiring someone who understands and can communicate at different technical and business levels, negotiate internally and externally with technology and service teams and manage stakeholders. Must have experience of existing and new supplier evaluation, engagement and relationship building, as well as expertise in emerging technologies and standards, evaluating the positive and negative impact on existing products. Able to design platform and product architectures that meet service availability, performance, usability, supportability and cost requirements, and also understand application development approaches and practices, able to evaluate internal and external developer performance and quality
The role would suit an Architect who has worked in a solutions environment, working with software applications, network design and infrastructure as well as the service wrap. This breadth of experience in ESSENTIAL as our client looks to broaden its solutions offering.
