Commercial Director – package in excess of £100,000
Location: UK (Flexible)
The Commercial Director will provide commercial guidance to the Business Units, Programme Functions and Senior Management team. The role is responsible for ensuring all risks, liabilities and commitments of Contractual Agreements by the business are identified and mitigated and that all contracts balance risk with appropriate potential profitability. The Commercial Director will work with all departments to ensure cohesive pricing strategies, leading customer and subcontractor negotiations as appropriate.
Responsibilities include Pricing Strategies, Commercial Process Ownership, Commercial Development Initiative, Standardisation of T&Cs, Confidentiality Agreements (NDAs), RFP and RFQ processes, Current legislation and contract law, Subcontract Management, Offset Requirements and supporting all tender and bid proposal activity.
Our blue chip client, part of a large US corporation, is a major player in the defence sector and a recognised supplier to the UK Ministry of Defence ( MOD ) and international governments. The opportunity has arisen to join the company in the role of Commercial Director to lead and manage the commercial strategies, activities, contracts, systems and processes across all UK sites.
This is a senior role and a fantastic career opportunity with huge future potential to develop still further, in a growing and successful global corporation.
The successful candidate will be educated to a higher level and preferably possess a relevant business qualification. A broad experience within the UK (and international) markets in an engineering or manufacturing industry would also be advantageous.
