Commercial Finance Manager / FP&A Manager

McGinnis Loy Associates are proud to be working with one of the largest and most renowned FMCG businesses in the UK. With highly recognisable consumer brands, they are now looking to strengthen their Finance team by recruiting a talented FP&A Manager who can provide financial analysis and key business support to the UK leadership team. Reporting to the UK Director of Finance, responsibilities include:

· Working with the FD and non-finance directors to ensure appropriate analysis and review is developed in support of achieving overall business goals.

· Identifying internal/external risks to support and shape the strategic direction of the UK business, from a brand and market channel perspective

· Leading the financial aspects of the future planning process, ensuring accurate forecasts and budgets for the business are in place and challenging managers in Business Review Meetings

· Leading project teams to evaluate, recommend and implement new management initiatives (eg new product launches, promotional activities, capital projects)

· Taking ownership of the preparation and review of the annual operating plan for the UK

· Supervising a team of Qualified finance analysts, including any training and coaching needs

· Working with central finance to support financial controls, reviewing processes and implementing changes

· Liaising with the pricing and wider finance teams in evaluating pricing approvals, customer contract terms, credit availability etc

· Ad-hoc analysis for the Sales & Marketing Director and Finance Director as required



To be considered for the role, the company is seeking a Qualified Commercial Finance / FP&A Manager with proven business analysis and relationship-building skills, who has strong customer focus and the ability to negotiate and influence at the highest levels. Previous experience of supporting non-finance managers is critical, as is strong business acumen and an analytical mindset to help drive the business forward. A background within a corporate multi-site FMCG, Distribution or Retail type environment would be a distinct advantage as this is a very hands-on yet critical role for the UK Leadership team. You should also have strong Excel and modelling skills with a can-do, proactive and collaborative attitude.
