Commercial Finance Manager

McGinnis Loy Associates are proud to be working with a European Services Company who are a leader in their field, and with 2,000+ employees and a £200m+ business, they are now seeking a Commercial Financial Analyst/Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for providing business support to senior managers, produce accurate management accounts and provide commentary and analysis of key variances. Other duties include:

• Building relationships with Business Unit Directors, Operational Directors and Senior Managers.
• Ensuring the accuracy of Management Accounts, and that they correctly represent the current business performance.
• Working with the Central Finance Team in the production of Monthly Accounts, Budgets and Forecasts.
• Analysing key variances in respect of Sales, Contract Profitability, WIP, Labour analysis and overheads.
• Ensuring operational staff have the assistance they need in understanding financial reports
• Provide information and support in respect of contract negotiation, reviews and pricing.
• Preparation and review of all margin and cost analysis reports.
• Working with operational management to improve system integrity and the quality of financial reporting
• Liaising with external auditors and other external bodies where required.

To be considered for the position you should be a Qualified CIMA or ACCA Accountant with substantial business support and commercial analysis experience. Ideally from a multi-site or contract driven business environment, you should have advanced Excel skills, be familiar with contract/project accounting and be a strong relationship builder. Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of a project/contract costing system would be a distinct advantage.
