Commercial Manager
Our client is an innovative solutions provider and contract R&D specialist and pioneers developments in electronic sensors, networks, and communications technology, providing products and services to the defence and commercial sectors. They are seeking a commercial manager to provide overall responsibility for the commercial arrangements of the business with its customers.
Commercial Manager responsibilities:
+ Full Commercial Management of Projects
+ Provision of commercial and business support to the Business Sector Managers and Account Managers
+ Assessment of business opportunities, risk management strategies, business planning and budgeting
+ Advising on the early stages of new business relationships, establishing teams and similar arrangements where appropriate
+ Responsibility for the submission of commercially and financially sound bids, including sign-off responsibility
+ Leading contractual negotiations with customers
Commercial Manager experience required:
+ Extensive experience in commercial business or project management, particularly within complex technology businesses
+ Proven success in negotiating technology contracts up to £10m with both government and non-government customers
+ Knowledge of project management, risk management, sales, purchasing and customer support activities
+ Expert knowledge of Contract and Competition Law
A salary of £50,000 is complimented by a competitive benefits package including a company car and relocation package.
