Commercial Manager

With a total team of around 50 staff, our Client (a public-private partnership) has the objective of being the number one provider of business advice to the 675 000 companies operating in London.
The successful candidate for this role will take overall responsibility for the commercial & financial strategy & delivery of the account operations, providing information, analysis, support & advice to the management team, to ensure that all contracts are delivered in an appropriate commercial manner, & that management decisions taken are based on sound commercial judgement.
Key aspects of the role will include:
Being financial owner of the account P&L & performance (you will be targeted & measured accordingly), taking responsibility for all financial & commercial governance within the account, including internal audit, company’s external audit, & client audit
Liaison with clients, at all levels, to ensure that appropriate supporting information & reconciliations are provided in an appropriate commercial form & to the satisfaction of the client
Ensuring all proposals for business & organic growth are costed appropriately, that terms & conditions are reviewed, & all internal/external sales & bid governance processes are followed
Driving the realisation of account growth, assisting the Chief Executive & Management team in working with stakeholders & operations to ensure that company is appropriately positioned to effectively deliver creative, innovative solutions, representing value for money & that are governed in an appropriate manner.
In order to be considered for this role you will::
Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Have managerial experience
Possess significant experience working directly within an operations support role i.e. with non-finance personnel
Experience of developing and implementing business cases and financial modelling
