Our client is a well respected and highly successful communication and information solutions company who operate within a clear market niche. Their business is currently expanding and they are embarking upon significant growth.
The Role
The Commercial Manager is a brand new role within this particular business unit and comes with the main objective to provide a professional, independent, commercial and contractual management service in support of customer facing trading activities.
The role will entail commercial support, the provision of advice and direction to internal stakeholders, assisting them to negotiate profitable and commercially viable contracts with customers. You will be responsible for corporate governance and the provision of an independent view on the commerciality of contracts and opportunities providing advice and guidance internally and externally.
You
•A high level of commercial and business awareness together with experience in product development, contract drafting and preparation.
•Practical experience of developing business proposals with the focus on developing attractive and compelling commercial agreements for public sector customers
•Ability to conduct commercial negotiations with public sector customers at a senior level.
•Ability to manage relationships with other internal customers whose local agendas may be very different from our own and conflict with the best deal for the company.
•Training – as a minimum an understanding of contract law, business accounts, accounting practices etc.
