We are looking for someone with procurement experience, specifically in the area of Utilities, including , Gas, Electricity, Liquid Fuels and Water skills, and with imagination and commitment to be responsible for the delivery of a complete Energy Utilities Managed Service to a growing public sector customer base.
Our client is looking to transform its offerings from mainly frameworks and managed frameworks, to collaborative buying with segmented customer and supplier relationship management and outsourcing.

Commodity/Category/Purchasing Director (Utilities) – public sector procurement services leader - Liverpool with Flexible working)
Flexi working includes min of 3 days in Liverpool - attractive base with Bonus up to 8% - Pension employer 25% & employee 3.5%

To be considered for this challenging position you should have Procurement expertise in Utilities such as Gas, Electricity, Liquid Fuels and Water and the following :

• Extensive and current experience at at senior level within procurement, specifically in the area of Utilities, including , Gas, Electricity, Liquid Fuels and Water
• A breadth and depth of procurement expertise/experience, across most of sourcing, supplier contracts, supplier management, and purchasing operations.
• Managing and controlling large spend through procurement - £500m+ p.a,
• Leadership and management, providing clear direction to the department.
• A solid history in stakeholder management with the ability to build long-term relationships with stakeholders and other professional individuals
• Commercial acumen – adept at identifying deals/opportunities, and negotiating towards the very best “win-win” .
• Managing organisational change
• Strong analytical skills and strategic vision.
• Strong communication, listening, and influencing skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and simply to internal and external audiences
• A practical knowledge of corporate governance and risk management principles
• Some knowledge of OJEU Consolidated procurement processes and practices would be desirable.
• Ability to travel as required by business needs
