Contracts Director (Building Services)

Our client is a very well respected multi-disciplinary building services contractor that provides a range of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing contracting services. Like many in their sector, 2008/2009 have been difficult years and whilst their turnover had grown to a figure in excess of £50 million, they are now down to approx £30 million with a much smaller workforce.

Despite this they remain one of the top building services contractors in the Midlands region, and are financially very secure.

In 2010 the business is looking to appoint a Contracts Director with a mechanical background, who will join the senior management team and be instrumental in looking after a significant portion of the turnover and helping the business grow back to its former size.

Ideally you will possess:

- A proven track record of running a portfolio of contracts within a building services contracting organisation ideally totalling £5 million +
- A mechanical engineering qualification
- Experience at Senior Contracts Manager, Operations Manager or Contracts / Operations Director level.
- Strong leadership, decision making, commercial, and team working skills
- Knowledge of the West and East Midlands and South Yorkshire market place; clients and supply chain

You will be required to lead and strategically develop a proportion of the business that already has in place a number of key landmark projects and a technically strong delivery team.
