Corporate Tax Manager

McGinnis Loy Associates are working with a highly regarded Top30 UK Accountancy Firm who are currently recruiting for a Corporate Tax Manager to join their expanding team. Reporting to the Tax Director, the role would ideally suit an ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA Qualified Tax specialist who can provide corporate tax advisory and compliance services to ensure that clients are compliant with the current UK taxation requirements. Other key duties include:

• Improving the systems for corporation tax compliance
• Control of the office corporation tax service including reviewing tax computations and returns
• Dealing with all correspondence and advice on client corporate tax matters and delegating where appropriate to office staff or specific tax specialists within the firm.
• Assisting accounts and audit managers with their knowledge on corporate tax
• Assisting Tax Director with more complex enquiries and planning
• Involvement in company investigation work including liaising with HMRC
• Maintaining regular communication with all clients and related 3rd parties
• Training and developing a number of tax staff
• Involvement in business development initiatives and in marketing the office’s tax services

To be considered for the position you should be a CTA Qualified Accountant (ideally with ACA or ACCA) within another Top50 Accounting Firm as experience in a similar tax position is essential. You should have in-depth knowledge and understanding of UK taxation requirements, experience in corporate tax planning, advising OMBs and shareholders and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
