Cost Manager (International)

This is a fantastic opportunity for a quantity surveyor or cost/commercial/value manager to join one of the world’s leading retailers to focus on their international property and construction developments in Europe and Asia…

The job role:
- To deliver best practice operating process models, for use by the international businesses, with specific focus on how to ensure that feasibility and construction schemes represent the best value.
- To assist international businesses deliver value for money on projects through consideration of scheme, program and cost
- To assist international businesses in the achievement of capital savings through innovative solutions
- To assist international businesses implement standards to control schemes and ensure they offer value for money
- To assist international businesses undertake robust risk management during feasibility and construction phases
- The role involves extensive travel to the Far East and Europe, representing up to one-third of the year

You will be a graduate or equivalent with a construction industry background and preferably some international experience. Ideally your experience could include quantity surveying, construction procurement, construction finance or project management.

Also you will have the following technical skills; construction knowledge, value engineering techniques and processes, project management, commercial awareness, analytical skills, report writing and presentation skills.
