Country HR Operations Manager-Spain (Madrid) & Por

CLIENT- US multinational $11 billion strategic business group. A technology products manufacturer
ROLE – Lead and manage the HR Operations resources in multiple sites, providing an efficient HR service and contributing to the management of the business units by delivering benchmark performance in quality, speed and cost of operations.
The role has 1 direct report and will work closely in conjunction with the HR Business Leads, and the Centres Of Excellence.
Responsible for:
Strategic and Business Planning (implementing HR agenda within the business, translate business requirements into HR plans and deliverables, make a commercial contribution to the business area)
Policy and Process (implementation, development and standardisation of of policies and processes)
Organisational development (implementation of strategic plans , effective goal setting and deployment , change Agent and implement effective change management)
Talent Management and Staffing ( implementation, lead, coach and support )
Employee Relations and Communications
Learning ( effective L&D & training plans)
Compensation and Benefits (implementation, delivery and support)

PERSON SPEC - higher weighting more important
10 – Solid HR Generalist experience, with exposure at a senior Operations or Generalist/Business Partner role
10 – Relevant degree in HR or equivalent qualification
10 – Proven experience of managing a multi-site or dispersed workforce
10 - Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and drive process excellence
10 - Experience of implementing employee relations plans and strategies at a local level , an excellent awareness of Spanish & Portuguese employment law and labour relations strategies
10 - Proven experience of developing and managing high performing teams and individuals
10 – Experience of working in a commercially focused, fast paced, blue chip organisation
10 - Demonstrable technical skills – role requires full professional knowledge of theories, principals, and concepts in own function, with the ability to apply specialist knowledge across the business
10 – Client and customer focused – accustomed to working with multi-functional groups at all levels
10 - Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including presentation planning and delivery skills - able to communicate with and influence multiple levels of the organization
10 - Able to manage multiple priorities in a highly matrixed organization
10 - Personality - self motivated and enthusiastic, influential in a fast moving commercial environment - reliable with sense of responsibility – creativeness, with the ability to make modifications to established practices/approaches
10 - Proven experience of successful working with a "Works council "in a challenging manufacturing environment
9 - Proficient IT skills - with experience of HR/ERP systems - ideally people soft
