Our client a leading Weapons manufacturer is currently recruiting a Procurement Executive, who will be responsible for ensuring delivery of all subcontracted deliverables, required by the Sector, to time, quality and cost.
You will be specifically responsible for the commercial integrity of sub-contracts, contract amendments and delivery of savings to achieve the Sector's element of the UK Cost Reduction Programme (CRP). You will also have specific responsibility for resolution of Sector related Purchasing issues and co-ordination of Supply Chain Engineer activities. You will be expected to establish a credible Procurement strategy for the Sector to deliver maximum business advantage. As well as be accountable for the negotiation of all sub-contracts and other industrial agreements, to ensure the overall competitiveness of the Sector's Bids to the Customer, meets the requirements of the Project and which minimise risks to the company.
The successful candidate will be able to identify and support the implementation of improved Procurement Systems and Processes to ensure that the Procurement organisation functions effectively and continues to improve. Provide a focal point for the relationship management of defined supplier(s) from a standpoint and to support the Head of Procurement. You must also be able to develop strategies with other Procurement Executives and wider business identifying any opportunities.
You must have advanced negotiation and interpersonal skills, a broad knowledge of supply base and technologies on offer and good process awareness and change management.
