expand has been engaged on a newly created role - Desktop Design Architect - SC Cleared to join a thriving Design community based here in their prestigious EMEA HQ.

You will be joining a significant business who have enjoyed exponential growth over the last year, they recognise in order to capitalise upon this success they need to bring on board visionary individuals who can bring together key business stakeholders to define, design and drive integrated systems and tools in order to support multiple functions and applications (colleague systems).

This is a pivotal Internal Consultancy role within the IT Division and would be responsible for the production of high level designs, some project input - strong delivery focus, Risk Assessment; working closely with Vendors and 3rd parties to delivery client functionality and as technical guru you will provide 3rd Line support expertise.

To be considered for the opportunity you must satisfy the following criteria;

Essential

Experience within either telephony or a utility industry would suit this role.
Additionally, exposure to solutions analysis within large enterprise operations would be advantageous.
Has demonstrated credibility and effective engagement with multiple stakeholder groups.
Experienced in structured business analysis and requirements definition.
Proven experience of system implementation and the full project lifecycle.
Clear and effective communication across all levels in IS and Business.
Creating IT Strategy to enable business plans and strategy.
UK Government Security Cleared, or know restrictions to achieving this.
Substantial Technical knowledge in the following areas

TCPIP Networks (IP, WAN, LAN Firewall rules)
Microsoft Windows Infrastructure
OS and Application Virtualization technologies
Desktop application deployment (HP Configuration Manager)
Desktop management tools (HP Configuration Manager)
Desirable Technical Knowledge in the following areas

Microsoft Exchange
Microsoft Sharepoint
Microsoft Office Communications Suite
Proxy Servers
Qualifications

Computing related qualification preferred.
MCSE, Novell CNE or similar professional qualification
