Darwin Recruitment are currently partnered with a well-known, home-grown Swiss news portal who are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer with experience in PHP. If a dynamic, start-up feel and flat hierarchy are your things, please read on.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Team/individual development in the backend using PHP
* Taking ownership of deployments
* Orchestration of clusters and applications
To secure this role, you will need to have the following skillset:
* Practical experience in developing backend web apps
* Excellent knowledge in object-oriented programming with PHP as well as basic knowledge in Python
* Many years of solid experience with Linux, Bash and TCP/IP
* Familiar and skilled in IT automation (ansible or similar), databases (MySQL cluster, elastic), networking, security, monitoring and continuous integration
* Willing to actively shape our products and to put ideas into action
* Excellent code quality is high on your agenda and you're excited about working in an agile environment
* Fluent in German and/or English
* Learning new skills, and tech
* Happy to work somewhere between development and operations
* University degree (university, ETH, FH) in computer science
